Our primary markets are Air Traffic Control, Commerce, Courtroom, Defence, Emergency Services and Law Enforcement. AudioSoft is a Sunday Times Tech Track 100 Company and Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Company, and we are looking for a Project Engineer and an IT Support Engineer to work at our office in Cirencester.

Project Engineer

Responsibilities include, taking a project from point of sale through to installation and completion, site surveys, chairing contract review meetings, having a full understanding of the project requirements, technical and commercial constraints and the action that need to be taken. Confirm and gain decisions from clients, compile and issue specifications. Setting and maintaining target/milestone dates. Documenting all-important information and confirming everything in writing. This is a “Hands On” role where you will be expected to put PC systems together as well as defining system requirements, supporting the other engineers on a day to day basis.

Software: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an extensive knowledge of the following

  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Word / Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Visio

Hardware: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an extensive knowledge of PC hardware and video and/or audio processing techniques. Knowledge of electrical and other engineering principles and techniques would also be an advantage.

Education/Experience: Master’s degree (MSc/MBA) or equivalent and between two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project Management: The ability to work on your own initiative, and to manage complex projects. Paying particular attention to the customer’s requirements and the deadlines on keeping the customer informed, as well as ensuring that the commercial needs of the Company are being met.

Driving Licence: Clean full UK licence held for over 2 years.

IT Support Engineer

The role requires a great ability to communicate and to work as part of a team to provide effective 1st/2nd line support of the Audio Recording systems. The engineer will work closely with our project and software teams as well as being in direct contact with our customers. The IT Support Engineer is responsible for the maintenance lifecycle of the customer’s projects, ensuring that the Company engineering and Quality procedures are implemented. The engineer will also be required to visit customer sites maintaining and installing our Digital Data recording systems.

  • Microsoft Explorer, Word, Outlook, Excel and Visio
  • Microsoft Operating systems, XP & Windows 2000

Hardware: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an extensive knowledge of PC hardware and video and/or audio processing techniques. Knowledge of electrical and other engineering principles and techniques would also be an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to install and configure Microsoft Operating systems.

Fault Diagnosis: The ability to diagnose system faults on a Microsoft Windows operating system, including network problems.

Education/Experience: HND/HNC or equivalent and between one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project Management: The ability to work on your own initiative, and to manage complex projects. Paying particular attention to the customer’s requirements and the deadlines on keeping the customer informed, as well as ensuring that the commercial needs of the Company are being met.

Driving Licence: Clean full UK licence held for over 2 years.
