Keyword spotting for multinational fraud investigation

AudioSoft were approached by one of the world’s largest multinational professional services firms to help with an urgent fraud investigation. The firm needed to find a critical financial transaction within 200,000 files, totalling some 15,000 hours of phone calls, which had been recorded on an obsolete recorder.

AudioSoft were able to help through a combination of recording and analysis expertise. Our professional services team used their knowledge of legacy devices to extract audio that had previously been unplayable. Key word spotting, part of AudioSoft’s Medirva suite of audio mining tools, was then employed to search for the vital information, vastly reducing the amount of manpower required.
