AudioPC-ATC is an Air Traffic Controllers graphical user interface to AudioSoft’s proven range of audio, radar and data recorders. Designed by AudioSoft in response to requests from ATC Operators, SATCO, ATCO and ATC Managers, AudioPC-ATC is an invaluable tool both for incident investigation and maintenance operations. AudioPC-ATC overcomes the problems associated with identifying active channels during an incident or maintenance operation and the subsequent time consuming operation of locating activity within each recording. By presenting activity across 32 selectable channels against a common time frame it is possible to see at a glance the location of all activity. The result is a significant operational time saving.

Intuitive user operation

AudioPC-ATC can operate on recorders or more typical replay and management workstations to provide a graphical overview of the activity across selected channels either from a single or from multiple recorders. The user can then access any of the data by simply clicking and pointing at the activity and loading it into a playback channel for immediate replay. The time period of display is usually set to 24 hours with the facility for the user to zoom into the regions of interest or pan either side of the data. Real time display is possible on the recorders only. With clear visual representation of different data types such as audio and radar, together with archive status, alarming information daily confidence checks can be performed in seconds rather than hours. In the event of an incident the data, time and time range are simply entered and the activity instantly displayed. On a recorder the user can then operate the ‘incident copy to DVD’ function safe in the knowledge that the data from all the channels will be copied to a DVD/CD, thereby eliminating human error and saving a huge amount of time and money.
